Col Harjit SinghAfter a regular stint in the Indian Army as an Infantry Officer retired in Nov 2001. During the army tenure he acquired a wide range of experience in all aspects of personnel recruitment at various levels and their subsequent training and management. He was also associated with various issues pertaining to township planning and management at many stations all over India. His expertise lies in personnel and property management.The army service provided him vast opportunities to improve his knowledge base by participating in training courses and diploma and degree level educational events. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration. He has a vast experience in conducting various events at national and international level. He retired from the army service and joined the Indian corporate world in 2001. He has been associated with the health care sector in his post retirement life since then. For more than 3 years he was Project Manager for a CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) funded Health Care Project. This project was aimed at inculcating behavior changes, to adopt healthy life style practices, in about 1, 00,000 people residing in 64 villages in Doaba region of Punjab. He was Chief Administrator of a prestigious Heart Care and Trauma Centre in Jalandhar for around 2 years. His expertise in recruitment and training of medical professionals at all levels of the hospital were well utilized resulting in a marked improvement in patient care and satisfaction. The hospital maintained International level standards in all categories of its activities. Col Harjit Singh is an expert in immigration laws, recruitment and training of medical professionals. He has extensive experience in understanding and catering to the specific professional standards in health care in some of the best hospitals the world over and selecting and training professionals for the same. |
